The Editor and an editorial assistant at the left-leaning Sinhala Language‘Lanka’ newspaper are currently being questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), a spokesperson for the paper said a short while ago.

The owner of the premises where the Lanka e news website office is being run is making efforts to evict us from the premises , our electricity supply was disconnected today despite our having paid the electricity bills regularly for twelve long years.
