Sinhala-speaking jury for Sivaram murder suspect
(Srilankamirror) - The suspect in the murder of Tamilnet editor Dharmaratnam Sivaram has sought a Sinhala-speaking jury for his hearing.
Arumugam Skandaraja alias Peter, the armed wing leader of PLOTE, stands accused of abducting and killing Sivaram between January and April 2005.
At a hearing yesterday (Dec. 06), he made the request to the Colombo high court.
Judge Padman Surasena considered the request and ordered that the case be heard before a Sinhala-speaking jury
