(Srilankamirror) – Police had torn away the posters pasted by the IUSF to the memory of two of its activists who had died in a road accident.
The IUSF said the posters contained nothing against the state.
It said the removal of the posters should be taken seriously as foul play is suspected in the circumstances of the deaths of the two undergraduates.
The government had tried to console the bereaving parents by offering them money, and although they had refused, its media is claiming otherwise, said the IUSF.
The funerals of Janaka Bandara Ekanayake and Sisitha Priyankara de Silva took place respectively in Matale and Mutwal yesterday.
