Unidentified persons who arrived in a white van pulled out a Tamil journalist from a passenger vehicle travelling along Mannaar-Thalaimannaar road Thursday night around 8.30 and attacked him, according to a complaint lodged with the Mannaar Police.
A journalist working for the Lanka newspaper who was campaigning for an art festival in Moneragala was assaulted by a group of thugs headed by a regional politician in the area this evening, Lanka Editor Chandana Sirimalwatte told Daily Mirror online.
