MTV suspects bailed out
All 16 suspects who had been arrested over yesterdays mob attack on the MTV/MBC head office at Braybrooke Place have been released on bail, the police said today.

NEW APPLICATION FOR SHANKTHI TV IN JAFFNA
Attorney at law Sanjeewa Jayawardena informed the Supreme Court today that an application would be forwarded to the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) for a licence for the Shankthi TV channel, which had been in operation in the Jaffna peninsula for the last seven years.

ATTACK ON SHRI RANGA: REPORT IN COURT TOMORROW
A report is to be submitted to the Hatton Magistrate’s Court tomorrow pertaining to the incident where a security officer of the host of Shakthi TV’s Minnel programme, J. Shri Ranga was assaulted and injured in the Hatton town yesterday.
