Letter given by journalists to Minister Basil Rajapaksha found in a waste paper basket

The letter handed over to Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapakse by the Kegalle District Journalistsí Association at a ceremony held at the postal auditorium at Kegalle was found by an employee of the auditorium in a waste paper basket and has been handed over to the journalists.

The Kegalle District Development Coordinating Committee meeting was held at the postal auditorium at Kegalle on the 9th and the chief invitee for the session was Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapakse.† At the session Kegalle District Journalistsí Association had handed a letter to Minisr Rajapakse through Kegalle District Parliamentarian and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ranjith Siyambalapitiya requesting a free pass for journalists to travel in CTB buses.

However, journalists who went to the venue on the same day to cover another event were handed over the relevant letter by an employee of the auditorium who had found it in a waste paper basket.
