A printer of a placard with digitally manipulated image of President Mahinda Rajapaksa was arrested by Mirihana Police yesterday. The printer not having the proper machines to print the poster had handed over the job to another printing company.
Later, after delivering the printed posters, the manger of the company that printed the poster had been questioned by police.
Fearing arrest the first printer had then gone into hiding.
Thereafter the police had taken the wife of the printer and her two brothers into custody for questioning. Mr. Lakthileka later confirmed that the printer was arrested along with the owner and the manager of the printing company. When contacted by Daily Mirror Mirihana police sources said that the printer and the other two persons were arrested under Emergency Regulations.
In the meantime UNP MPs Karu Jayasuriya, Mangala Samaraweera and Dayasiri Jayasekera visited the Mirihana police regarding arrest.
