Dear Sir/Madam,

We are readers of the Daily Mirror and dailymirror.lk who are concerned about several recent incidents which have shaken what faith we had in the newspaper.

1. On the 31st of July the Daily Mirror published a story titled ‘Re-awakening Vavuniya and offering hope’ which covered an event in Vavuniya. It was written by two reporters who had neverbeen to Vavuniya and had concocted this story based on an interview done in Colombo. In the story they refer to Vavuniya as a city on the East Coast, further shaming the Daily Mirror. (link)
